Scratch that itch
Spinning vinyl ipod app from Theodore Watson on Vimeo.
This is in response to:
AR scratching from vanderlin on Vimeo.
This. Both of which are pretty cool. Neither of which I truly understand and ultimately make me feel kinda old.

Woofers

This is functional kitsch; the wrong becomes the new right. By adding a function to an otherwise grotesque object, it acquires new aesthetic values, becoming an object of desire.
Pun intended; these woofers hold the midst between an addition to your sound system and your loyal 4 footed companion. They are engineered by a professional audio studio, and sound remarkably well. Available as a co-axial speaker system [two dogs].

Mini Cooper Chameleon

Just what we have all been waiting for the first "mood car". BMW's Mini division will debut its first color-morphing car in Singapore in June. Called the Mini Chameleon. Changing colors according to the weather for example, on a rainy day, the car's paint brightens to improve visibility while on a sunny day, it lightens to reflect heat and cool down the vehicle.
If only it could turn red for road rage and brown for shit drivers the car would be perfect.

Kindle 2 (electric boog-a-loo)

Why does technology make me want to buy it so much? I'm already a sucker for all things Apple and thought that I had arrived when I got an iphone. How do I love thee iphone? Let me create an impromptu iphone haiku immediately here on the spot she says redundantly.
"Ding in my pocket,
be it a text or email
I will check that shit"
See, a poem means love. But now I find out about Kindle 2. Some evil marriage between Amazon.com and books. You can download over 230,000 books, newspapers, magazines and blogs anywhere AND it will even read to you. Do you know how many books I have sitting on my night side table? I mean just for the sake of my spartan sensibility one pencil thin kindle 2 is better than a shit ton of books that may or may not stack well. Hmmm, the only part of the equation that I don't covet is the $359.00 price tag. I mean- it's not even in color.

This is fun

Do you ever wonder what is going on in your old home town? Wonder no more with this interesting and informative link from the newseum (http://www.newseum.org/todaysfrontpages/flash/) Not only can you see the front page of any newspaper across the united states but you can also keep up with Europe, Asia and the Middle East among others. Clicking on the map will take you that city's newspaper, click again and read the front page. Technology is cool.
