Why did the Chicken Cross the Road?

A: To enter the spin cycle.

Pete Betchik of Madison on the Lake, Ohio built a chicken shelter using found materials. "The frame is made from wooden pallets, the roof also is pallet wood. The sides are old steel shelves. The inside is lined with old pizza boxes, the nest box was once used to ship fresh fish to market, and the front door was an industrial clothes dryer front."

Orangehouse aside: chickens love the smell of pizza and fish

  1. Had the chicken shelter used a Thermodynamics rotomolded plastic pallet there would have been no need for the plastic tarp on the top of the shelter. Contact Robert Lux to for a full explanation on how this would work for your shelter.
