In the Booth

I’d say a more appropriate title would be “a shit ton of random sounds composed as a song”. Context from The World’s Best Ever:

“Earlier this year Ray-Ban had a “Never Hide Films” booth at the 2009 SXSW Music Festival in Austin, TX, where close to a thousand people were able to get in the booth and record 20 seconds of whatever they wanted. We then took the 900+ video clips and gave them to SqueakE Clean (the hot DJ duo otherwise knows as N.A.S.A). They edited the video together to make a music track.”

Swinging on BART

Some brilliant pranksters installed beautiful swings on BART last night. What apparently happened, according to witnesses, was a team of six or so people hopped on to a north-bound train from 24th Street station in San Francisco around 8:30 p.m. last night, installed three matching red swings, and then exited at 16th Street leaving their swings behind for public consumption.

Luckily, photos were taken to record the event.

Cult TV

Do you remember the music video for “Squeeze Me” by Kraak & Smaak? The one with all those flipbooks. FOX Italy asked the directors Superelectric to create some TV idents for the CULT channel. Great stuff!

Kids are just like Us!!!

Kidswear has undergone a huge transformation over the last few years, led by a new generation of designers who have applied their creativity to the children's category, usually after having kids themselves. Today kidswear is a carbon copy of adult fashion - incorporating key trends.

You know a brand has succeeded when you look at a kids item and want to wear it yourself. Like this new collection, which features graphic print t-shirts, shorts and boardies, which wouldn't look out of place on the backs of urban hipsters. Unfortunately you need to be aged six or under to squeeze into them so we've accepted that they are strictly for kids. If you have any little people in your life, you can purchase a limited number of these select pieces through- email bill@thecoolhunter.net

Make mine a Gin & Titonic

Now that the economy is turning around, it's time to forget those lessons of thrift and blow your money on completely useless frozen party favors! How I do love frivolity.
Ice ahoy!! You get 4 ocean liners and 4 icebergs — just add gin, Leo DiCaprio, and Kate Winslet for a perfect party.

How about these AK-47 bullet cubes? It gives new meaning to serving up another round.

Play more than just mind games with these
Tetris Ice cubes.

These Fossiliced cubes at first glance look like the perfect way to entertain kids at a party. But in reality will just end up all over your table as your little paleontologist tries to piece them back together again.

These Cool Jewels would be the perfect house warming gift if you were ever invited over to Ice Cubes house.

Ice invaders it's like Space Invaders but with ice! What will they think of next.

Frozen smiles is a stupid name for this novelty ice product. How about Horrific Discovery or Frost Bite. The only reason for buying these would if you worked in an old age home and you were bored.

Here is a fun way to know what you are drinking- spell out R U M or G I N with Alphabet Ice. V O D K A will take a tumbler though.

Needful Things

Stuff like this is a source of endless amusement. I want the "come in/go away" door mat. The same doormat I'm sure that they have in front of the illuminati head quarters. I also want the unfortunately metric "Who are you taller than" mirror and for some unexplainable reason the "Cat Plane". All of these objects of desire can be found here

Sweet Tooth Anyone?

I want one! Performance & visual artist/dentist David Khang sculpted the prototype for this anatomically accurate, porcelain candy jar. This one has a gold filling (aka lid) Labeled "Porcelain Tooth Jar" this work of art sells for $500 and is available though etsy under ricochetstudio. Although, if one thinks back, all of this can really be attributed to one source.
